100 Books

I've seen this meme around.  When Betsy sent it to me on Facebook, I decided to play along.  I have read 48 of these - not saying I REMEMBER all 48, though!

The BBC believes most people will have only read 6 of the 100 books here. (I can’t verify this statistic).

Also.... The Da Vinci Code? Come ON... read this and it's no "great 100 books" sort of book.  Same for Bridget Jones' Diary.

I read ( a LOT) and I've only read three on the list.

I've read bits of several, but only three all the way through.

We have read similar books. I was surprised to not see The Scarlet Letter on there. Or Diary of Anne Frank. Oh and I noticed that the complete works of William Shakespeare is listed toward the top and then later toward the end they list Hamlet. Hamlet isn't part of the complete works?? I read 13 on that list. It's a great list and reminds me there are a few I'd love to read again.

I've read dozens of those books, which surprised myself. Along with the comment on Shakespeare, the Narnia Chronicles and the Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe... another duplicate in my opinion... ;o)

I've enjoyed your blog for awhile... thanks!

I've read 45, listened to one on tape and am part way through another at the moment. But how many I'd have read if it hadn't been for doing a degree in literature and having compulsory reading.... I won't tell you!
