Link of the Day

I got so excited about Halloween pictures that I forgot to add this.  Today's link is A Year of CrockPotting.  Seriously, 365 days of recipes for your crockpot.  What's not to love?  Except that MY crockpot has decided to stop working.  And it's only 3 years old.  What's up with THAT?  I need a good old-fashioned ugly orange or green crockpot from the 70s.  Those are all still working...they're the Dodge Darts of slow cookery.

I totally agree with you!!! I've had a crock pot since the 80s and while it's a bit smaller than I want, it works great. I bought a new one 5 years ago and it cooks everything too hot. I can cut it back so it doesn't burn, but then the meat doesn't have that slow cooked fall apart on your plate taste. and isn't that one of the perks of slow cooking???

BTW two posts in one day while trying to get every day in???? WOW you are amazing!! Guess it just makes us more chatty huh?? LOL

This is hysterical!

You are right, though. The old, ugly avocado green crock pot that my mom let me have when we were first married is still going strong. The fancy, schmancy one that I got years later has frizzled out.

Ha!
