Stretching a Dollar

Today, I'm totally interested in this blog. A couple decided to try and live for one month, spending jsut one dollar per day per person for food, and this is their story.  I can't wait to read more later, after I do the school run, the base run, and dinner :)

That's pretty interesting.

When I was a young bride, we spent $7 a week on groceries. Still, that was eating lots of casseroles and no chips, junk food or soda.

The year? 1962.

I'm going to read it when I have more time, but i can tell you there is NO WAY I could do it. It would stress me to no end.

You know, I got curious and did the math... I'm estimating that I feed my family on about $4 per day, per person. Not bad, in my opinion.

What an interesting blog! Thanks for the link. I read the whole thing.

Now I'm re-evaluating how I should modify my current diet to include more beans.
